Tips on Fuengirola Warnings and Dangers – Stay Safe!

Fuengirola Warnings and Dangers

Home to festivals, concerts and a naturalistic zoo, you are sure to enjoy shopping at the medieval market located in  Fuengirola. However, pay attention to the following warnings if you want to experience a more enjoyable trip.

Public Toilets are Unavailable During the Low Season

If you are a typical tourist who enjoys walking about town, you already know that public toilets are a welcome sight. Traveling in Fuengirola during the low season means accepting the fact that public toilets are nonexistent. All public toilets are closed.

Some of the bars and cafes have public restrooms, but you may find that they are only available to paying customers. If you are uncomfortable about the thought of not being able to go to the restroom at your convenience, you may want to visit Fuengirola during the high season when a few public toilets are available at the beach.

Beware of Ivory Coast and Senegal Girl Gangs

You may find this hard to believe, but females posing as prostitutes are actually members of gangs. These female gang members proposition men, lure them into dark corners, and then steal their wallets, cell phones and cameras. So, if you are a man vacationing in Fuengirola, avoid getting involved with strangers, especially if the strangers are attractive women.

Poverty Turns Some Residents into Violent Criminals

If you want to avoid a violent situation, you may want to travel to a different town. With unemployment on the rise, Fuengirola is not the safest town in the world. Plus, the police are generally not interested in violent incidents, so you cannot depend on police officials for assistance.
