The appropriately named Sanctuary Hotel offers a quiet retreat in the heart of New York City where guests can relax in between exploring the best of the Big Apple.
The Location
[st_content_ad]The Sanctuary Hotel is situated on West 47th Street between Seventh and Sixth Avenue—right in the midst of Times Square. The location is ideal for exploring New York City, with easy access to all major subway lines. Many iconic Manhattan attractions are within walking distance, including Central Park, Madison Square Garden, and Radio City Music Hall.
I found this central location extremely convenient, as it made it easy to pop back to the hotel quickly in the middle of the day to drop off a jacket or change and freshen up before heading out to dinner. We walked almost everywhere, but it was easy and fast to grab the subway from here (less than a block away) to explore other areas of the city.
The Rooms
The Sanctuary Hotel has 113 guest rooms, all of which offer a surprising amount of space for New York City. I stayed in a Sanctuary Deluxe King room, which had a generous amount of space—hard to find in New York. The rooms feature pillowtop mattresses, European linens, a desk and chair, and a rainfall shower.
