Genius Pack 30″ Spinner Upright Review: Checked Luggage Worth Checking

If you’re headed on a long vacation or just an overpacker, then the Genius Pack 30″ Spinner is for you. With labeled pockets, an internal compression system, and a laundry chute, the Genius Pack 30″ Spinner holds up on long trips.

Genius Pack 30″ Spinner Upright Review:

Price and Where to Buy: The Genius Pack 30″ Spinner Upright is available on Genius Pack’s website on sale for $258 at the time of publication.

How the Genius Pack 30″ Spinner Upright Rates:

  • Usefulness: 9/10. If you’re traveling with a checked bag, why not travel with one that helps you stay organized, keeps your clothes clean, and doesn’t add any unnecessary weight? At just 8.8 lbs. (when empty), this suitcase is lightweight for its size. The organized pockets are a great touch, especially when you’re packing for a longer trip. My favorite useful feature is the “LCT,” or laundry compression technology, which is basically a side compression sack that rolls your laundry contents into a separate section of the suitcase. You can either take the laundry bag out or access your dirty clothes via the exterior “chute.” You can also expand the bag for 25 percent more packing space.
  • Value: 8/10. At $258, the Genius Pack 30″ Spinner is on par with other checked bags of its size.
  • Portability: 10/10. The spinner wheels make this bag super portable, and they glide well. (I tested them on a mile-long walk from the office to my apartment on Boston’s brick sidewalks, and it held up great!)
  • Durability: 9/10. The suitcase has soft neoprene handles that make for easy handling, and the bag comes with a five-year limited warranty.
  • Cool Factor: 9/10. There is a permanent packing checklist sewn into the bag, so you won’t forget any essential travel item again, which I think is pretty cool.

Final Verdict: If you’re in the market for a new checked bag, the Genius Pack 30″ Spinner Upright fits the bill.
