Free Facebook Access Offered on Eight Airlines

Passengers on eight North American airlines can use in-flight Internet to log onto Facebook for free in January.

What do Gogo, Facebook, and Charmin have in common?

Normally, nothing.

But through January 30, 2014, passengers on Air Canada, AirTran, American, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Frontier, United, and US Airways flights can use Gogo’s inflight Internet access to log onto Facebook for free, courtesy of Charmin.

According to Gogo’s Facebook page: “Simply access the Gogo portal from your Internet browser and follow the simple instructions to get started.”

It’s tempting to ponder the logic behind Charmin’s participation in this promotion. But maybe it’s best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Or squeeze the Charmin.
